Questions about floating
Floating involves relaxing in a spacious float cabin filled with warm water and a high concentration of Epsom salt, also known as magnesium sulphate. The salt allows your body to float effortlessly.
The combination of warm water, weightlessness, silence and minimal sensory stimulation gives your body and mind the opportunity to relax deeply.
Floating is often chosen for:
• Deep relaxation
• Relief from stress and sensory overload
• A calmer mind
• Relaxation of tired or tense muscles
• Recovery after sport or physical activity
• Supporting restful sleep
• A special moment of peace and self-care
Everyone experiences floating differently.
You can choose a floating session of:
• 60 minutes
• 90 minutes
• 120 minutes
Please allow some additional time for changing and showering.
You float without swimwear. This prevents pressure or distraction from wet clothing and allows you to relax fully.
The float cabin is located in a private room, giving you complete privacy.
Towels, shampoo, shower gel and optional earplugs are provided.
We recommend bringing your own comb or hairbrush. If you wear contact lenses, please bring a lens case and contact lens solution.
A bathrobe and slippers may be useful when combining several treatments.
For the most comfortable experience, we recommend that you:
• Eat a light meal beforehand
• Avoid arriving with a completely empty or very full stomach
• Avoid too much caffeine shortly before your session
• Do not shave or remove body hair shortly before floating
• Arrive approximately ten minutes early
Salt water can sting freshly shaved or damaged skin.
Yes. For hygiene reasons, you must shower before floating without using conditioner, body lotion or oil.
After the session, you shower again to rinse the salt from your skin and hair.
The high concentration of Epsom salt allows you to float easily.
The float cabin can always be opened from the inside, and you remain in control throughout your session.
The float cabin is spacious, and you decide how you experience your session. You can:
• Leave the light on
• Leave the door fully or partially open
• Step out of the cabin at any time
Please tell us beforehand if you are claustrophobic or have any concerns. We will explain everything calmly.
It is possible to fall asleep during a floating session. The high salt concentration keeps your body afloat.
Many people experience a state somewhere between being awake and asleep.
The skin usually wrinkles much less than it would in ordinary bath water. Epsom salt feels different from normal water, and many people find that their skin feels soft after floating.
Floating may feel relaxing during pregnancy. Always consult your midwife, gynaecologist or doctor beforehand and let us know that you are pregnant.
Please contact us before booking if you:
• Have open wounds or serious skin damage
• Have a contagious skin infection
• Have severe epilepsy or heart problems
• Have a fever or feel unwell
• Have recently undergone surgery
• Are under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Cannot independently enter or leave the float cabin
When in doubt, please consult your doctor first.

You are then comfortably covered, while warmth provides a cosy and relaxing feeling.
